Looking Forward to the 2018 Lax Season
Thanks to all the players, coaches, parents, volunteers and fans for a fun and successful 2017 summer youth season. A total of 98 boys participated in 5 age groups. Although girls have played on EALA teams for several years, 43 girls participated in our first season of a girls’ lacrosse program. We look forward to growing the girls’ component in the coming years.
The Board of EALA recently met for the election of officers and to begin planning for the upcoming season. Rich Randall has enthusiastically accepted the position of Board President. We are grateful for the dedication and hard work of our outgoing President, Scott More. A list of all Board members is available through a link at the bottom of the website.
In order to focus our time, energy and finances on the youth program, we will no longer be coordinating an Adult Box League. We are hopeful that another local community group will offer an opportunity for adults to play this great game.
Registration for the 2018 Youth Summer Program will open in January. We are very excited about the upcoming season and will do our best to continue the good aspects and improve the areas where we have fallen short in the past.
